11th January 2014
This huge sunspot group is now heading toward the edge of the solar disc as the sun rotates on its axis; it’s been very fascinating watching these incredible sunspots over the past couple of days.
Sun Warning: Please only look at the sun with proper solar filters attached to your camera lenses or telescope or use the projection method.
Image orientated as seen in my camera lens with the Sun setting in the west in the Southern Hemisphere on the afternoon of the 11th January 2014.
Photo taken with a Canon DSLR 40D on a tripod with Canon 100-400mm lens and 2x converter (with a glass Orion solar filter attached) lens set at 400mm = 1280mm. 12 exposures stacked in Registack6 all exposures 1/1000th second, at F5.6 and ISO 200.
